Too often I feel we writers get carried away with "Keeping up with the Joneses"

Hell, I know I do. I focus on metrics, getting an article out daily, making sure I'm growing and I forget how valuable integrity and quality really are.

It's like that feeling you get when you're driving on the interstate: You might go for 5–15 minutes just "zoning out" and then you snap back to reality and think, damn… I was driving 70 mph and wasn't paying attention to the actual road (by all means not recommended).

You can get this with writing too! You go weeks just churning out content and not actually focusing on that actual quality.
