You're right.

I know I've found success (while I'm not at the 10k mark, I'm nearly there) pursing my own strategy that is similar to the one you outline above.

I feel a BIG element of all of this is understanding that in order to make $10k/monthly you first have to just make $.01 and I think you a good job hinting at that in this piece.

Also, when you're an artist/writer/creative etc you're also a MARKETER! Understanding human nature and applied psychology (marketing in a nutshell) will help expand on one's entrepreneurial writing efforts.
